Introduction: Insulated Lunch Tote

How nice would it be to have something that keeps your lunch cold/hot, and not look like an old-school chunky lunch bag? I decided to make my own insulated stylish lunch tote that I would actually carry in public. Two functions in one! Sweet~

Step 1: Find a Basic Bag

Go to your nearest dollar store with more and find an insualted lunch bag that will be suitable for all your lunches. Any type is fine, even if it looks hideous... don't worry, well give it a makeover.
At this point it is function over form. Try to invision what you could do with the bag.

Step 2: Make Designs

Take some fabric that you want to cover the lunch bag with. Regular cotton faric will do the trick.

Make up sketches on paper as to what images you would like on your lunch tote, and cut out the shapes.

Step 3: Start Sewing

Trace and cut out the shapes that you want on felt, and start sewing and bring them to life. In this case, sew on the eyes, frosting, and decorations on the donut with beads.

Step 4: Sew Design on to Bag

Pin the design on to the fabric in the placement that you want it and sew the design you want on the fabric you have chosen.

Step 5: Sew It on the Lunch Bag

Sew the sized fabric with decorations on to the lunch bag to cover the tacky reflective material. You can also add some cotton straps at desired length.

Step 6: Voila~

Et voila~ Your lunch tote is ready to be rocked! Stay healthy and bring your own lunch while staying in style~ You will have all the girls eyeing your bag with envy, and all the boys hungry for some sugar. Feel free to decorate the other side as well, just to change it up for fun.
Bon appetite~ xoxo
