Ipad Cupcakes

It seems like everyone loves ipads.These are definitely not your grandmas cupcakes. So easy to do and would please anyone who appreciates the latest in technology.

Step 1: You will need:

cupcakes
fondant
edible print out (can be found at your local cake supply shop and some grocery stores)
piping gel
foodsafe paintbrush
scissors

Step 2:

Start by rolling out the fondant real thin. Cut it into a basic "ipad" shape.Use a light layer of piping gel to adhere your edible image.then cut the edges to you can see some white.(the edge of the ipad)

Step 3:

Pick up yopur "ipad" and smooth and straighten the edges. Cut more if needed. Dont worry if you cut too much you might be able to take the rolling pin and roll the ipad a little thinner and you will have more white edges to create the ipad.Then smooth edges again till you get the shape you want.

Dip a toothpick in black food color and make a tiny hole/button.Repeat all of these steps for as many cupcakes as you need. Now just frost your cupcakes and top them off with your cute edible ipad.



**** TIP- if you cant find a store to print out the edible print of the ipad you can use regular paper and printer and disclose to the people that you are giving them to that the top is not edible but would be cute to save. ;)

oh yeah. there are so many cool techniques out there.that's why i said these arent your grandmas cupcakes,lol. you could even buy a new printer and print out your own. you just need edible ink and paper.
