Introduction: Ipod Nano-toids!

I got this idea from always having to hunt down my ear buds out of my pocket when I was sitting down trying to get my music on. Only problem with this model is the "lock" feature on the side above the screen.

Step 1: Materials Needed

Materials Needed:
1 Altoids tin (Flavor does NOT matter!)
1 Ipod Nano
1 square
1 cutting tool (its like a gum wrapper, I used a razor knife)
1 pen, pencil, scribe, ect...

Optional Materials:
plasma cutter, hack saw, tiny little workers, ect....
Needle nose pliers

Step 2: Measure Twice, Cut Once...

Use your square to measure your and center those measurements on the bottom side (Be sure you keep a suitable lip to see all of the screen as well as one on the lower end to keep it secure in the tin.). Mark your measurements on the back side to guide the cut.
Cut tin.
Do the same on the lower end of the tin.
Fold the flaps inward so they will hold your nano in place.

Step 3: Assemble

Insert nano into altoids can.
Fold flaps snug over backside of ipod.
take care not to cut your fingers on sharp edges!

Step 4: Enjoy!

Step 4:

4A: •Pack it!
4B: •Grab it!
4C: •Enjoy!

I suppose you can, I was doing this with out the help of a dremmel, but now that I have upgraded my tool collection I suppose you could drill out a hole so the camera lens can function.

at first i thought this was going to be another *put foam in tin put nano in foam...* but... congratulations this is great... never seen it done like this before... you could add a sort of shelf over the back of the nano and still keep altoids in it.... good instructable.... +1

Sweet, I didn't even check to see if there was another, I have a plan to add an AM transmitter to it so I can just keep it in my pocket and play it in the car just haven't had time to get that done.
