butter
sugar

Toppings

nuts
rasins
chocolate chips
coconut flakes

Step 1: The Dough

Make your favorite dough for the crust and roll into a circle.

I used my mom's pizza dough recipe.

5 cups whole wheat flour
I package yeast
3 tbsp sugar
4 tbsp butter
1 tsp salt
2 cups hot water (120 to 130 degrees F)

Mix the dry ingredients together while the water is heating up.  Put the butter in the measuring cup you will be using for for the water.  When water is hot pour over the butter to melt.  Using a thermometer  make sure water is below 130 degrees.
Mix water/butter into the flour mixture until a soft dough forms.  If it is to sticky add a bit of flour.  Knead until dough is soft and pliable and bounces back when you poke it.
Ok, now you will have a lot of dough, but for my purposes you only need about a pound of it.  The rest can be refrigerated for another time or you can make bread, pizza, cinnamon rolls, rolls, hot dog buns, or hamburger buns.

Step 2: The Rolling

I used a deep dish pan for my pizza.  You can use whatever you have.
Lightly grease your pan.  Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Roll your gob of dough into the shape of your pan.  Making sure the dough extends about an 1" from the edge.
Fold the dough into 1/4's and place into pan then unfold.  Roll the edge down to finish the crust.  Let rise in warm place while getting the "sauce" ready.

Step 3: The "Sauce"

4 tbsp Butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon

Melt butter in bowl making sure it is metal.  When melted stir in the sugar and cinnamon.
Cool slightly and spread onto your rolled dough.

Step 4: The Toppings

Nuts
Raisins
Chocolate chips
Coconut flakes
And anything you would like.
My mom likes dried cherries and dark chocolate chips and slivered almonds on hers.

Scatter the toppings around the pizza evenly.

Step 5: The Baking

When you are done with the toppings your pizza is ready to go into your preheated oven for about 15 minutes.  My pizza was in for about 20 minutes and got a little crispy.  When baked let cool for a few minutes and remove from pan on to a pretty plate.

Now if you like you may prepare icing to drizzle over the top.  I didn't have enough powdered sugar because my sister made a cookie pizza and used it alllll up.   But if I had some I would have made it like so.

2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp of favorite extract, vanilla or orange, or almond (mom's favorite)
enough cream or milk to make it liquidy enough to drizzle
Mix all together and drizzle in crisscross patterns

Step 6: The Eating

This kind of pizza makes a great morning coffee treat.
