Jalapeno Poppers





Introduction: Jalapeno Poppers

In this instructable, I will show you how to make Jalapeño Poppers.

Step 1: Ingredients

For this recipe, you will need

1 1/2c plain bread crumbs

enough vegetable oil to fry the poppers in

3 jalapeños

16 oz cheddar cheese

1 tsp smoked paprika

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 c flour

1/4 tsp pepper

1 egg

1 c milk

Step 2: Grate!

Grate the cheese.

Step 3: Nosy Jalapeño Gets Jalapeño Business

Remove the seeds from the jalapeño and mince.

Step 4: Get a Large Bowl..

Mix the cheese and jalapeño together.

Then get a handful of the mixture and roll it into a ball, placing them on a baking tray.

Step 5: Cool It!

Place the baking tray in the freezer for 30 minutes.

Step 6: Assembly Time!

Get an assembly line of 3 separate bowls.

In the first bowl, combine the flour, salt and pepper.

In the second bowl, combine the egg and milk.

In the third bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and the smoked paprika.

Step 7: 1, 2, 3!

Roll each ball in each mixture, 1, 2 then 3 and place on a plate.

Step 8: Cool Down (again)

Place your poppers in the freezer again while your oil is heating up to 350°.

Step 9: Fry!

Place a few of the poppers in the oil at a time to fry, too many at once will lower the temperature of the oil.

Fry for 2-3 minutes, until the outside is golden and the cheese inside is melted.

Step 10: Enjoy!

A lot of restaurants do use cream cheese for their jalapeño bites, so you can totally do it!
