Japanese print stuffed octopus. With a thimble for a hat!

I made this guy for my friend's upcoming birthday. Only problem is, he needs a name! Anyone have any suggestions?

Update: My friend loved her new little octopus buddy! And his name ended up becoming Jonesy. :0)

I'll try to post up soon how I made it! I just kind of freehanded, and used a beanie baby octopus to kind of see how it was made.
The base is just a circle, The legs are parthenesses shaped, like this- (
And the head is built out of four pieces sewn together, they are kind of shaped like the panels on a beach ball, a little bit like this- ()
Then I just used a plastic thimble and a button for the hat, and random buttons for the mouth and eyes.
