Today, we are going to learn how to make a project in Eclipse and how to use Java! You need to download Eclipse (https://eclipse.org/downloads/) and Java (https://www.java.com/download/).

Step 1: Making a Folder!

The first step is to make a folder. You can place this folder anywhere! We named it "Project". But you can name it whatever you want!

Step 2: Find Your Folder

Now you need to start Eclipse. It should open a window with a button named "Browse". Click browse. Now you need to find the folder you made, and click OK.

Step 3: Welcome

Now you should see a welcome screen. You can close this!

Then find the explorer tap! You will need that. Right click in the white box under "explorer". Then hit new -> java project. You need to name it as we did in picture 3! You can change "something" to whatever you want!

Step 4: Package

Then click on the package button on the top of the screen. A window should pull up. Just hit finish.

Step 5: Class

Now click on the package once! Then hit the "class" button. That should take you to the New Class menu. Make sure to name it "Main".

Then hit Finish!

Step 6: Coding

Just let it load for a few seconds.

Now you can see a white screen! This is the Main Window. Here you can typ your code!

Let's go further! Typ this code under "public class Main {" :

public static void main(String[] args) {
System.out.println("Hello, World"); }

Step 7: Playing

Then hit the "Play" button on the top of the screen. It will run, and typ the sentence "Hello World" in the console.

You can clear the console by pressing the double X's

Step 8: Saving

Did you make a game? Than save it! Just go to:

File -> Export -> Runnable Jar File (Under Java) and click next. Then but in the destination!

(This will not work with the Hello World code, because that is a Java Console code!

Step 9: Enjoy!
