Jedi Shak Ti

My family is a huge fan of Star Wars and we had already done main characters so we decided to pick something more challenging this year. The biggest challenge was the headpiece which I made using canvas and acrylic craft paints. I allached a snug headband on the inside to keep it from slipping off my daughters head.  The body isa white body suit that I dyed orange red and painted white designs on using craft paint.  The top and skirt are made from suede fabric that was distressed with paint to look worn.  We use Ben NYe makeup for the face and neck. The lightsaber was borrowed from a friend. The whole thing cost about $25 to make. I have been making costumes for my kids foe years and this is the first time I made something that i felt turned out exactly the way I envisioned it.Hope you enjoy the photo!!
