Introduction: Appetizing Spicy Cumin Fried Chicken (Hindi Audio and English Subtitles)

Jeera Chicken Fry is a delicious and a spicy recipe which you can have it with cold drinks in the evening get togethers and parties.

So let's come and let's learn to prepare the recipe so that we can surprise our friends and enjoy the delicious recipe with them.

Step 1: Description

Ingredients,

400 g chicken winglets (You can take other chicken leg or other chicken pieces as well. Please adjust the quantities of rest of the ingredients as per your chicken quantity.)

********To marinate********

  • 1/2 to 1 tbsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 to 1 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 to 1 tbsp red chilli powder (optional)
  • 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder (optional)
  • 1/2 tbsp tp
  • 1 tbsp oil (it will help chicken to get tender)

********To roast********

  • 3-4 dry red chilli (optional and as per your taste)
  • 3-4 Cinnamon stick
  • 2-3 small bay leaf
  • 2 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp coriander seeds
  • 3-4 green cardamom 1 tbsp peppercorn seeds
  • 1/2 tbsp Anise seeds

********Cooking ingredients********

  • 2-3 tbsp oil (1/4 to 1/2 small cup)
  • 1 big chopped onion (or 2 small onions)
  • 1-2 chopped green chilli 6-8 curry leaves
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2-1 tbsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4-1/2 tbsp coriander powder.

Step 2: Marinate

  • Wash and pat dry chicken pieces.
  • Add ingredients mentioned under 'to marinate' and coat the chicken pieces well.
  • Leave the chicken to marinate for 30 minutes.

Step 3: Cooking

  • Wash and pat dry chicken pieces.
  • Add ingredients mentioned under 'to marinate' and coat the chicken pieces well.
  • Leave the chicken to marinate for 30 minutes.
  • While mixing, I felt that spices are less so I added
  • little more cumin powder
  • For cooking ingredients please refer the items mentioned under 'cooking ingredients' in the description.
  • Take all the grounded spices mentioned under 'To roast' and dry roast for 3-5 minutes on low flame.
  • Keep roasted spices aside.
  • Take a deep frying pan or wok and heat oil in it.
  • Once oil is heated add chopped onions.
  • Once onions start turning pink add ginger garlic paste, chopped green chilli, curry leaves.
  • Mix well and cook for 40 seconds to 1 minute.
  • Add red chilli, turmeric, coriander powder and salt. Mix well. Cook for 30-40 seconds or till the oil starts separating. Now add marinated chicken pieces. Let it cook for 4-5 minutes in low heat.
  • Now add all the roasted spices and mix well.
  • Add half glass of water. Cover the pan and leave the chicken to cook for 25-30 minutes. Keep checking after 5-6 minutes that chicken is not sticking to the base if yes then stir a bit.
  • Add garam masala and mix well.
  • Cook for 2 more minutes.
  • Your dish is now ready to eat.
  • Take it out in a serving plate.
  • Garnish it will green chilli, onions, tomato and lemon.
