Jewelry/nic nac Holder for Home or Craft Fair

I made this holder for jewelry and cards to display at my table at a craft show coming up in two weeks. It would work as a display for just about anything you could think of. The great thing is when its not in use you can just fold it flat.

Step 1 Materials

I found the materials for this projects from around the house.
So you need:
-Wood board
-2 hinges
-screws for hinges, make sure they are not so long that they go through the board
-batting
-fabric of your choice, I chose a fairly light color Amy Butler fabric with little contrast, so that it would not overwhelm the jewelry and cards that I hang on it.
-scissors
-stapler & staples
-elastic banding
-drill, small drill bit, and a bit that fits the screw
-latch (optional, see last step)

nice! how would you suggest making one of these to display necklaces? (quite long ones)

I used it for some necklaces as well at my last fair. You could just make it like this, and then have 2 rubberbands- one at top to dangle neclaces from and the other midway-bottom to keep them from moving around a lot. I guess you could also make one that instead of being tall and skinny would be wide and short. You could also make a 3 sided one and set it on a revolving lazy-susan. You can get them from Lowes. Thats a great idea. I think I'll have to make one and then post an instructable on it. :)

This is great! What an easy way to show off your work. A one-panel piece would be great for home storage of earrings and the like. You could easily expand this to a longer zig-zag structure, which would stand up even better.
