Instructables
Mousetrap and a gun apparently work pretty good together. How did this gun come about? Well this idea started with PotatoCoffee's link to http://www.instructables.com/id/Red-Impact---Perfect-Duck-s-K-nex-gun./ . There I saw that they used a spring and thought "Wow that's different, what do I use with knex that's different." and poof I looked at the floor and saw one of the three mousetraps I use with my knex. This gun kinda looks like a P90 but I didn't want to insult the gun or anyones eyes by calling it a P90 so it became my Mousetrap gun. I'll try modding it this week to see if I can get better results for V2.
Stats:

Pros:                                           Cons:
Looks OK                                    Clip is not very efficent due to inexperience
Functional                                   Mousetrap sometimes get caught on the side of gun
Lightweight                                  Range? Its best shot went maybe 5ft horizontal
Strong construction                     (overall pathetic.. needs a little more work, but I was excited to share it)
True trigger
Open canvas for modifications (can't wait to see what people come up with!)

If anyone wants a step-by-step guide drop me a comment and at latest I'll make it next weekend.

I like the idea, a trap is more durable than rubber bands. and it seems to be reliable when the bullets are positioned the right way. The looks of the gun are not that great though.

Yeah In v2, the bullet problem was the first one that I fixed. The only problem was with v2 is that it showed exactly what the mouse trap was capable of. Now, I'm not good at making knex guns, but I have one good rubber band powered gun and unfortunatly it isn't even close to equaling it's power or range.

Never mind... Just on schedule just need time to post.
Great job on this man. Using a mouse trap is an awesome idea!

In the video, the first shot missed the bullets in the clip. I then pushed the clip mech up and fired again, this time, the mousetrap caught the side of the gun. When I released it, it worked. The last shot was the only one that went off perfectly.
