two questions. 1. why is that the name of this step? 2. are those clear ones as strong as the black ones?

It is stronger than black because (I think) it's made of carbon

no its not the black rod or tape, its a white connector with 7 white rods snapped in sideways all around leaving the space for the long rod to snap in!!

well, if i had anyone to battle with this would come in handy, as for now at least i am safe from a robber(unless he is not afraid of a plastic gun).
