This is a new version of a wrist mounted flamethrower I made this summer. It is similar some others flamethrower seen on youtube but they all seem to have complex electrical systems. I wanted to do something much more simple. The gas flow control is entirely mechanical. The only electrical component is the ignition system powered with a single AA battery.
I recently made a basic stick mounted flame thrower to use to light a bonfire I was put in charge of. I had three days to design and make it, and it went off without a hitch. I now have until July to try to make one of these to top what I did at the bonfire. Between now and then is another bonfire where I will have a better designed flamethrower, but I want to have a couple of wrist mounted ones to be to surprise everyone with a burst of flames from my hands to use to light the fire. Is there any chance you can help me out with a design for a wrist mounted like this? My main issue with designs so far come in with nozzles and fuel control. I'm asking around for help. Any thing you can to help would be much appreciated.
That is so cool. You should make a device for the other hand that focuses on shooting fuel, so you could use your right for distance and aiming and the left to ignite it.
hey i'm in the process of drawing blueprints for my own device and i wanted to also do a purely mechanical device, do you think you can email me on how the valve system works to regulate the gas i would really appreciate it. thank you Shubertwill@gmail.com
Hey, i was wondering if you could tell me how to make a valve for a mini butane canister. im modifying a toy gun i have to be a flamethrower. i already have an idea for the ignition source, but im lost on how to actually release the gas strong enough to make a decent sized flame, your help would very appreciated,
Thanks for the information I know that there are federal laws against this kind of thing so I'm pretty sure you won't be making a building instruction for a while and I am very interested in this cool gadget and would love to have one for the next fourth of July and was wondering if you could maybe on your own time possibly inbox the instruct able to me I would really appreciate it
Hey quick question. Would you mind if i made my own and made an instructable? I wouldnt copy your design exactly, but at least try to make instructions others could follow, so they can make their own
You can infact sell these legally. little known fact is that flamethrowers are not regulated by the federal government. And if there are no local prohibitions on them, they are perfectly legal.
1st, This is awesome and I need this for next years Burning Man. 2nd, the wrist control system, is it like the helium balloon fillers? it bends and opens or is it like an air compressor release, where it pulls a pin on a spring thingy?
im pretty sure this is legal, flame throwers are still legal because i guess its the only thing we have to fight against... BEES! yeah, thats why they havent been out lawed i guess, but id check your local laws to be sure
This is great, although I think people who would need instructions to build it after seeing this video should NOT be building it. No offence, just don't want anyone hurt.

If you wouldn't mind I ask how much money would it cost to produce this system and how long
Development Time: 1 month
Building (after the development): 2-3 hours
Cost: Definitely less than 60 bucks
Thanks
p.s.or at least tell us were to buy them.
