Introduction: K'NEX MSMC V.2 (Build)

Lets revamp a classic, shall we? The INSAS MSMC, featured in Black Ops II, is one of the best SMGs in game, and now you have the opportunity to build it out of K'NEX. How awesome is that?

Features:

  • Great sights
  • Flip up front sight
  • Extendable stock
  • High capacity magazine: 10 - 16 rds.
  • Sturdy body
  • Exact in dimensions
  • Comfortable trigger
  • 6 in. + pin pull
  • Good / average range: 30 - 50 ft.
  • Sturdy magazine
  • New magazine with bullet containment system

Lets build it!

Step 1: The Left Panel

Pretty easy...

Step 2: The Internals

Again, pretty easy, if you have any questions, contact me.

Step 3: Right Panel + Extras and Rubber Bands

We really are almost done, go crazy.

Step 4: The Magazine

The brand new magazine containment system. Brilliant, if I do say so my self.

Step 5: The Stock and the End

And we are done, as always if you have any questions, let me know, I'm happy to help!

Thanks for building my MSMC V.2! You guys are the best! Don't forget to comment and favorite, and I'll TTYL!

Hey man i freaking love your stuff so realistic. I was wondering if you wanted to do a collaboration some time?

author

Thanks man, that is a huge complement! I'd love to do a collab some time, the only problem is that I don't have much time for K'NEX anymore...

Oh heck yeah! mmmmmmmm...... So good!
Such an awesome submachine gun! Good job! I'll be building this immediately after I finish and post my project I've been working on this week.
But yeah very awesome!

author

Thanks man, glad you like it! How you do'n man, its been a while!

Been doing alright, crazy busy. School has kind of been suppressing my hobbies and even work. As I've always said "school comes first".

Other than that craziness, my internship has taught me some sweet new mechanisms a principles which I'm going to try to apply to my knex projects.

author

Yeah, pretty much sounds like my life, only more work and less school. Yeah, I don't have time for much now-a-days, but I get today and tomorrow off, so I'll be building K'NEX guns, playing video games, and trying to spend some time on social media. You know, LOL, the important stuff. ;)

Awesome dude! I've kinda dropped my idea of becoming a mechanical engineer, and I think I plan on becoming a gunsmith... We'll see where that goes...

author

That's pretty interesting! What do have to study to be a gunsmith? I assume a lot of machining related classes.

author

Well, you see, I'm not 100% sure. You can do internships, apprenticeships, take classes, go to colleges... There are all kinds of things you CAN do, what you SHOULD do is a different matter... I don't really know what I should do...

author

Well... knowing what I do know about making guns, if you were to go to college... I would have a major of a Machinist. There is a lot of high precision lathe and mill work involved in the gunsmith trade. Other than that aim at trying to intern because you would have to know somebody to get into there without experience.

author

Well, I think you are talking more about gun manufacturing, I believe gunsmithing is slightly different. More of fixing, maintaining, and modifying firearms.

author

Ahh okay.... yeah I don't know much about guns, mainly mechanics, cars, and k'nex.

Looks really nice. Im not to familiar with this weapon but from what I can recall from past knowledge this looks really good. And I do like that magazine although I think it might have been done before by Blue Mullet. I'll check on that really quick. I just checked and I was wrong :P. I gotta go but i'll see ya later.

author

Thanks again man! Glad you like it!

author

No problem! I like it because it's done right and looks fun to play around with. I think I might start doing replicas and see how far I get. They probably won't look quite as good as yours but I wanna give replicas a shot.

author

Sweet bro, I'd love to see you do a replica!

author

I'm planning on an MP5, maybe next weekend.

author

Sweet!

I was waiting for somebody to make instructions. =D

I'll get building in a few hours, and I'll be sure to give you some pics when I finish (which should be about 5-6 days, I'm quite busy now :P)

author

Awesome, you let me know how it goes!

author

Well, I'm done here! Sorry, but I don't have a camera at the moment. I will get some pics up in a few days (when I get my camera), if it stays on the shelf, that is (which it most probably will). I am going to build some other guns, so unless I run out of pieces, It's with me!

author

O.K., pics whenever you can then!

Being honest with you Red, I was thinking of making instructions for this but since you already done it, I will do a review for it but you will have to wait quite a while for it since my instructables schedule keeps changing with new reviews or instructions but I will promise you a review for this in the years to come.

author

No, its all good bro, thanks for your support over the past year! Good luck bro, and happy 21st birthday!!!

author

Thanks Red, how old are you at the moment?

author

I'm only 17. You have about 4 years on me. =D

author

And you have 3 years on me. :P

How is this magazine different?

author

Well, if you go to step number... well, what ever the step number is
that contains the instructions for the magazine, you'll see that I've
taken three pieces of tape, all the same length, and set two side by
side. Then I took the third piece and placed it directly between the
other two, sticky side to stick side(s). That way the rounds don't jam
or fall out of the front of the magazine. Simple really.

The gun looks awesome! Good job, Red. I am interested in the magazine; could you explain how the new containment system works?

author

Well, if you go to step number... well, what ever the step number is that contains the instructions for the magazine, you'll see that I've taken three pieces of tape, all the same length, and set two side by side.
