Have you heard Katy Perry’s anthem for the 2016 Summer Olympics? This piano tutorial will teach you how to play it!
Katy Perry recorded "Rise" as an anthem for the 2016 Summer Olympics, and it will be used as an image song for NBC's coverage of the event. It was released in July 2014 as a single, together with a music video which features various Olympic athletes and shows great moments of sport.
Katy Perry said about the release of the song that "now more than ever, there is a need for our world to unite", and we couldn’t agree more!
In the lyrics of the songs, she sings about the fight for victory, and how she will rise in the face of menace and chaos. In the chorus, she sings:
“When, when the fire's at my feet again And the vultures all start circling They're whispering, "you're out of time." But still I rise This is no mistake, no accident When you think the final end is near Think again Don't be surprised, I will still rise”
