Ok so in all of my guns although not all ways shown have a pen body that has riffling drilled into it to spin the rod

Not sure if spiraling helps range that much but i mostly use it in my snipers to make them extremely accurate.

Try it and comment if it works for you

Cool!

Yes the rifling helps ALOT it added ten feet of range to the pistol and the round kept a much straighter ballistic arc

Have you noticed a big difference from the rifling, instead of the round barrel? I get the feeling that the round won't be spinning or travelling fast enough for this to matter greatly. The effect of spin on the projectile is to keep its center line from deviating from the flight path, i.e. making it fly straighter. You should experiment if you haven't already. It's a neat idea and if it has an effect you might be on to something.

Interesting, some folks tape knex spacers together to make a shell, and it can help improve range. I suspect that this would help too.

I think the rifling is the main part, as it spins the rod to create a gyroscopic effect so it acts just like fin ammo and flies completely level

Are you talking about this or spacer shells? The spacer shells don't spin the rod, they increase range by lowering friction on a round. Knex rods have bumps on them that interlock when you try to shoot them out of a magazine, and the shells separate the rods, keeping the friction lower.

I'm talking about this

Oh, ok.

yeah I'm hoping to make a shell based pistol but they only really help if you have an impact rod instead of a push rod, like on a hammer based pistol a shell could help a ton

True dat. I hope to bild a hemmer gun one of these days.

Ouch oops lol

You spelled Knex wrong in the title.

Yea this works a lot u should try

Perhaps.
