Introduction: K'nex Chicago Typewriter Gun Model

About: I've been building things with my hands since I was two years old, today I plan on going to college to become an architect and design mostly houses and buildings.

*THIS GUN DOES NOT SHOOT ANYTHING*
This is just a model the represents the Chicago Typewriter. This was one of the guns used by the United States Military arroung the time of the Korean War. I built this gun to honor my grandfather who fought in that war.
Like all others, this is an easy build, if you follow the instructions.

Step 1: The Body

The body is not the difficult part; however, you will need to change a few pieces as you build it. Read the instructions carefully.

Step 2: The Barrel

The barrel is the easiest step in bulding this gun. Just a few pieces and those from the body.

Step 3: Handles & the Trigger

The Chicago Typewriter has two handles, one close to the barrel and one close to the trigger. So here you'll make both handles and the trigger.

Step 4: The Ammunition (Drum Mag.)

This part is very chalenging, especialy when taking it apart. Once it's built it seems impossible to take apart, so I would reccommend spacers all around the edge.

Step 5: The Stock

Ahh, the last, and hardest step. You dont really need a stock, but if you hold the gun by the trigger handle only you should use this to balance the weight better. This is my least favorite part of the gun.

Attatch to the back and you are done. Have fun with your new gun model and I will one day post another step by step of one of my gun models. - Dylan C.
