K'nex Gun "OMR-98"

Happy New-Year! :-D
Well, here it is! My new K'nex gun with a removable mag, rails, carrying handle/ sight, and more!
And it's also my 13th Instructable!

For no reason what-so-ever, I weighed and measured this gun. It weighs 2 pounds on the dot w/o the mag, and is 2 feet and 1 inch long

Edit : To avoid any further confusion, this gun does shoot. It shoots dark grey connectors around 50 feet and has removable magazines that hold around 17 rounds. You can shorten the mags, or extend them to hold more or less.

Double edit : My new computer has arrived, so I can post some pictures of my heavily modified version. Not until later today (3/21/10) I'll be able to post some. At the least.

Is it me, or do these types of guns that shoot with those dark gray pieces not even shoot them two inches? They jam too easily, and it's a waste of time trying to shoot...if anyone can help please do:) other than that, this gun looks great. I'm only rating 4* though for the shooting reason, unless someone can help me, and the other reason is that the pictures weren't easily described, took forever trying to figure out where and how the piece assembled.

not all of these kind of guns shoot 2 feet. unless your thinking of the pistols which they sometimes do. I've never had this thing jam for me, and it always shot pretty consistent. around 40-50 feet.

so do you think you could help me out? I still can't get it to unjam itself and every time I shoot, it doesn't come out of the barrel. I've tried to use less rubber bands and then tried more, but it wouldn't work even so. And for all those people out here who had a bit of difficulty reading this instructable, I am asking for your permission to re-post it with all credit going to you. Thanks in advance:)

sometimes one of the orange connectors may be causing an obstruction or something, unload it and all, maybe take off the front barrel thing, and see if any of them might be in the way. i tried making the barrel as middle in as i could.

can i use blue connectors instead of white 1s?

yeah sure but blue connectors have tiny bumps in them that take up a teeny bit of space but nothing serious.
