Hello, awesomestpower or Jackajicka has returned 5 years later. It's now 3/19/2022 and I came to update the Grand Bessy 2.0 to 3.0! Instead of instructions, I've added lots of new images of the inner mechanisms so that you can reverse engineer the Knex gun. If there are any more photos you need of the gun, I will add more, just ask.

The new photos are in my introduction section above (where it says "29 More Images") so you can more easily see the progress and differences between outdated and updated designs.

Changes:

  • Switched out a lot of parts for a more streamlined black and grey aesthetic

-This includes replacing the ramrod's rubber bands with an elastic band to avoid repeatedly replacing it. You can find the elastic cord here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Z642JM2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

-Please Note: If you are using this elastic band for the ramrod, please use glue to fuse the connector at the end of the ramrod to the ramrod itself as the new elastic band will break off the connector every time it shoots. The glue will last longer than rubber bands and tape. If anyone has a better solution let me know.

  • Created a new scope that extends to the barrel of the gun for more accuracy

-The excess elastic band from the ramrod is looped through the new scope

-This does make it hard to take the scope off or replace it. However, you don't need to because it's a better scope and the elastic band will outlast the rubber bands many times over

  • Developed a complete stock allowing for more surface area by filling in all the gaps from the previous design

-Removed the orange connectors and replaced them with yellow connectors

-Added black y-connectors in between the white rods and yellow connectors where needed

-The new stock created a new problem in which the bottom layer didn't hold together as well

-This was solved by wrapping a rubber band around the stock's bottom around the yellow connectors

  • Added a second black wheel on the right side of the handle to improve grip

DISCLAIMER: I've copied the 18 round chamber, front barrel, grip, and true trigger from KILLERK. The rest of the gun I’ve modded. You may copy any of the designs from my gun as long as you credit me.

Here's some of the mods and specialties. Note: The best mods are the trigger guard (I haven’t seen anyone put a trigger guard on the TR-18). The next mod is the safety switch, (this only works when the gun is cocked, it does defeat the purpose, but it is cool to have nonetheless). Another mod is the stock and the transforming stock butt, which slides down from a compact configuration to one that fits to your arm comfortably. This is adapt mode. The back of the stock butt acts like a bouncy spring when force is applied to the back of the gun. The last mod is a detachable scope (meaning that you can switch out different scopes if you like).

Pros:

Stores up to 18 ammo (obviously).

Can shoot through walls (proven in KILLERK's video).

True trigger w/ black connector extension for easy reach and trigger guard connected to grip.

Safety switch in TR-18!

Only 5 layers thick (not including the thumb rest, which makes it 7 layers thick.

Transforming stock butt adapts to your arm or can be in a compact config.

Thumb rest provides a comfortable spot to place the thumb when shooting.

Quite clean build with a rarity of exposed connectors.

Detachable scope.

Cons:

NOT fully automatic (TR-18 design), Auto. in title is abbreviated for Automatic. Rounds are loaded before each shot, instead reloading each round for each shot.

Fairly heavy at about 5 lbs.

Back of stock may expand to allow room for the ram rod (does not affect shooting or shooting distance).

Safety switch only works when gun is cocked.

Pic. 3: Close up of trigger with safety on. The grey connector attached to the blue rod, locks into the white connector. The red connector is attached to the blue rod. It is placed behind the trigger to prevent it from being pulled.

Pic. 4: Under trigger close up shot. Best example of the red connector behind the trigger. The green rod attached to trigger hits the red connector making the whole trigger stay in place.
