Introduction: Knex M249 SAW

About: Hey everyone, welcome to my Instuctable, or my Instructables page. Well I hope you like what you see and if you do, don't forget to SUBSCRIBE. I like to build just about anything from airsoft guns to fishing...

Thee M249 SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon) is here. It is NOT a belt fed version, but instead a blue rod size mag. I made it a ram gun because of the better power you will receive. It looks a lot like the real thing and is very cool. The only con is that it is not a war gun because it is hard to use. I mean this because the magazine is a pain to remove and the ram is internal so you have to pull a string to cock it, which calls for a low rate of fire. What it lacks in ROF it make up in power which is decent, but you should build a different gun if all you want is power. I only mention the cons because I know what it feels like to build a gun that you think is awesome and it ends up to be less than what you expected. Some pros include decent power, looks, removable magazine, and sights. Well if you like this gun leave a comment, rate, and subscribe if you want this posted.

Combine this with your fully auto gun..
    This would be amazing

make instructions to make this gun. It looks awesome

I like it! But I do agree with geodez.

This is really closer to a Re-stocked M240 (AKA FN MAG.) The M249 is much shorter and fires the lighter 5.56x45 while the M240 fires the heavier 7.62x51 and is several inches longer. Also the M249 typically comes with a collapsible stock and will accept STANAG magazines (both similar to those found on the M16/M4 series.)
