Introduction: K'nex Nativity

Picture of K'nex Nativity

Many many years ago, in a manger in Bethlehem, Israel, Jesus Christ was born to Mary, Joseph, and the world. At Christmas, many people commemorate the event, which is the true origin of our modern-day holiday, by building a nativity, or model of the manger scene.

You can build your own special holiday manger scene out of K'nex to celebrate Jesus' birthday and create a fun reminder of the true meaning of Christmas!

Step 1: Parts

Take two grey connectors and slide them together as shown. Repeat to get ten pieces. Connect the pieces to the floor piece using green rods as shown. Next, attach two red connectors to the corners using green rods. Fill in all spaces using white rods.

Step 4: The Manger Scene

Build the two pieces of the manger. Next, slide in two white rods with black caps. Attach it to the center of the floor by inserting the white rods through the centers of the white connectors.

Next, build Mary and Joseph figurines. Attach them to the floor in the same was as the manger.

Finally, build a piece to represent the baby Jesus, and place it in the center of the manger by sticking the "Y" connector through the gap in the floor.

Use small black wheels under the floor to secure all parts of the scene besides the baby in place.

Step 5: Walls
