Introduction: K'nex Ratcheting Car

K"nex needed for this project.

  • 4 medium wheels
  • 2 small gears
  • 1 medium gear
  • 1 large gear
  • 1 black wheel (for steering wheel)
  • 4 red headtops (for lights)
  • 7 white connectors
  • 8 yellow connectors
  • 10 green connectors
  • 6 red connectors
  • 3 light gray connectors (2 connecting spots)
  • 13 gray connectors (end connectors)
  • 21 small green rods
  • 26 white rods
  • 11 blue rods
  • 6 yellow rods
  • 1 red rod
  • 1 long gray rod
  • 8 tan clip connectors
  • 8 blue clip connectors
  • 47 blue spacers
  • 7 gray spacers
  • 4 metallic blue connectors (3d)

Step 1: K'nex Car Cab

Step 2: Front Wheels

Front wheels on a long gray rod.

Step 3: Gears

Gears on yellow rods

Step 4: Back Wheels

Back wheels on a red rod.

Step 5: Ratchet

Add the ratchet and make sure the short rod aligns with the gear as the handle rotates around the gear to turn the gear.
