Introduction: K'nex Scare Slinger Gun

About: Finally back to life. Probably won't be on much on 'ibles, but I'll be fairly active on Discord (partman) - feel free to chat on the Flux! Oh, and I would like to apologize for being so cringy years ago.

This gun here is my second one, a slingshot gun, that has a new 'scare' mechanism. If you pull back the wheel x number of times, then the gun will fire 2x + 9 - 40 + 9x - (5 x 2)x + 31 times, or x + 1 times (sorry about the equation, I couldn't resist annoying you). You can keep the scare level at a maximum of 12. The ammo used is red connectors.

Pro's :

Okay looks

Detachable ammo storage

New scare mechanism

25 feet range

Con's :

Still thinking....

There's the fact that it's a single shot, and also that it uses quite a few Y-clips.

So, what are you waiting for? Let's start building!

2 : Join one pair and attach the blue rods as shown

3 : Whoops! Forgot this one

4 : Add the two blue spacers

Step 3: Inner Workings

1 : Make this (*yawn*)

2 : Add the orange bars

3 : Another view

4 : Put on the trigger and the wheel on their respective blue rods.

5 : Put a third spacer above the trigger

6 : Put the last spacer above the wheel

7 : Put this rubber band here

8 : Put these two green rods to lock the rubber band in place

Step 4: Last Layer

Quite self-explanatory.

Step 5: Extra Bits

If you don't have enough Y-clips, you can replace them with other connectors.

Step 6: Newspaper

Just in case you run out of ammo in the middle of a war.

Step 7: Scare

The first picture shows when the scare level is zero. It will fire on the first shot.

The second one shows when the scare level is one, which means it will fire on the second shot. You can spin it backwards to increase the scare level. Every time the wheel clicks, the level increases.

To load the gun, just pull back the rubber band and catch it on the wheel.

Step 8: Done!

Complete!

Give yourself a pat on your back, use it for a day, get bored with it, break it and make something better. Enjoy!

Over and out.

Edit:

Took me a long time to realise, and now I'm facepalming. This can be used as a semi-auto rubberband shooter, simply by detaching the band-clamps and locking separate bands on each scare level.
