Hello everybody,
Introducing my knex stool. The stool is 15" high, 15 1/2" wide at the base, and 12 1/2" wide at the top. As far as I have tested, it can support up to 200lb. When you sit on it, it may creak, but it has never collapsed when I've sat on it. I would suggest if you weigh over 150lb. that you should add a extra cross brace. Enjoy the pictures and please vote. WARNING! This is not a stool to stand on, it is a stool to sit on. Click here for instructions.

Ok. It's not terrible, but it's not great either.

as soon as there is a instructible im building this it will look bada$$ in my room!!

Wow that looks really good. But you should maybe add tires or something else on the bottom of the feet so all the weight is not being held up by that cross brace.
KneXtreme (author) in reply to TheRackerFeb 26, 2012. 3:01 PM
Thanks I took your advice and added tires. It works great!

That looks good! You know why I said that right? If the feet don't have traction, then they will just splay outward when pressure is put on them, so the crossbrace holds them together, and also all of the weight.

ummmmmmmmmmmm...............no offense or anything but if you cant stand or sit on it what do you do with it besides use up knex parts ?
KneXtreme (author) in reply to buildervFeb 29, 2012. 4:25 PM
Read the warning again.
builderv in reply to KneXtremeMar 1, 2012. 7:10 AM
read the warning but it seems pointless if you cant sit on it cause you could use the parts for other things that do stuff i am not trying to be mean or anything just i don't understand what you would do with it
ekimt27 in reply to buildervMar 1, 2012. 1:39 PM
Read it one last time for good comprehension's sake :)

WARNING! This is not a stool to stand on, it IS a stool to sit on.

Looks cool, but I'd assume you don't want to sit on the edges of the stool!
KneXtreme (author) in reply to ekimt27Mar 2, 2012. 10:04 AM
No, you definitely don't want to sit on the edge. That's one part I'm working on.

You should really post it

I will post instructions for the stool, but it may be about month before I can. I've got some other stuff going on right now.
TJSonOfAnder says: Feb 24, 2012. 10:02 AM
was this based on any other instructions that I could find online? (assuming you have no plans to post specific directions. Also what is your estimate for how much this cost to make?
KneXtreme (author) in reply to TJSonOfAnderFeb 25, 2012. 6:41 AM
If you mean based on another knex project the answer is no, but if you mean based on a wooden stool the answer is yes. I might consider posting instructions if there is enough interest in it. And as to the cost I really have no clue. If I decide to post instructions I'll see if I can give an approximate of how much it cost.
