Knex cornershot by ThomasRex
With this knex gun you can turn the front 180 degrees so you can hide behind a door and only expose the front of the gun. so you can hit them but they can't hit you. You can also turn the front straight so its like a regular knex gun. It has a 10 round magazine. I TOOK THE VISIBLE PART OF THE TRIGGER OFF SO NOBODY CAN COPY. I did not make this gun for looks i just thought of the trigger system and quickly made the body if i wanted to make it look better i could.
stryker3 says: Jun 23, 2011. 6:33 AM
can it bend straight again like the real cornershot?

180 degrees is the same as a regular k'nex gun.

They have a few models, I know one that you supposed to mount an M9 Beretta. It has a large hinge, makes it looks like a rifle, has IR, that little TV you weretalking about, and a laser. Its pretty cool :) -PKT
ILIKEPIE333 says: Sep 8, 2009. 11:51 AM
The one shown has a USP or something (as far as I can tell), but you can mount an M4 on a special version, just watch the Future Weapons episode
rawknexstuff says: May 12, 2009. 2:10 PM
I saw it too.
ILIKEPIE333 says: Apr 20, 2009. 7:48 AM
It probably is the angle, because they only had one Futureweapons show on the Cornershot, that I know of
gunman94 says: May 23, 2009. 4:35 PM
Actually, on that Futureweapons show they covered all three cornershots. One model is for the Beretta M9/M92FS 9mm pistol, another for the M203 40mm grenade launcher, and the last for a skeletonized version of the M4A1 5.56mm assault rifle. I hope that helped! Sincerely, Joseph Winter
ILIKEPIE333 says: May 26, 2009. 11:23 AM
what I meant (or what you may have read wrong) was that they only had one show on the cornershot, but thanks anyway!
Bugman9 says: Feb 18, 2009. 4:31 PM
I remember seeing it on future weapons. it also has a screen to see around the corner so you can hide.
billythebob says: Sep 28, 2009. 6:57 PM
I saw that to -- right before bed time It does have the sreen to show around the corner But they could change the angle at which the barrel bent -- left or right -- for different corners.

ILIKEPIE333 says: Mar 18, 2009. 5:20 PM

ThomasRex (author) says: Mar 23, 2009. 3:16 PM
You can use this gun. It actually works really good.
ILIKEPIE333 says: Mar 23, 2009. 5:00 PM

ThomasRex (author) says: Mar 24, 2009. 12:44 PM

urgg. Just use homing missiles!
ILIKEPIE333 says: Mar 19, 2009. 2:32 PM
thats way more expensive do you know how much those missiles cost? and only using them to kill one enemy?!
ILIKEPIE333 says: Mar 18, 2009. 5:19 PM
not really it can help you to not die in some situations
Bartboy says: Mar 19, 2009. 12:07 PM
Very limited. If you are behind a wall, shooting them, they can just shoot through the wall! A gun could easily go through drywall. But I guess if you happen to be behind a concrete wall, then it might work.
gunman94 says: May 23, 2009. 4:43 PM

PiTBuLL892 says: Nov 28, 2009. 9:11 AM
the real cornershot is a shell and a pistol
the pistol fits into the shell
it would be awesome if you could remove the pistol and fire it seperately aswell!!!
also the real one can fit a grenade launcher if you removed the pistol
jus some mod ideas.
bounty1012 says: Dec 12, 2009. 1:26 PM
yea, the pistol fits into the front.
ferrari484 says: Oct 3, 2009. 5:38 AM
All very nice but as far as i can see there is nothing going from the trigger to the front of the gun. So it can't fire or am i wrong? Ow great job
ThomasRex (author) says: Oct 4, 2009. 9:56 AM
I took the visible parts of the trigger off. But there weren't many.

I am now making a true knex semi auto gun feed by shells that every time u pull the trigger it only shoots 1 and then it shoots the shell out and its feed by a magazine not chains or like all connected to a circle

Ok well i would like to see you try to make a knex gun like this is is hard. And i had no pictures or any thing and it doesnt look complicated but its just not that same thing for every layer. It is a lot more complicated than it looks and do you know how hard it is to make a trigger that works from a spot where it is after it bends? If i wanted i could put a camcorder on but i didnt.

ThomasRex (author) says: Jan 21, 2009. 1:44 PM
Yes i saw a gun like this on futureweponds the show and went on instructables and didn't see a gun like it so i decided to make one.
hellpilot says: Jan 24, 2009. 3:18 PM
Its cool, but i tried to make this a year ago but i couldn't figure out how to pull the trigger to let it fire on the other side at that right angle :(
RMConstruction says: Feb 2, 2009. 7:56 AM
use a string mechanism dude!
ThomasRex (author) says: Jan 25, 2009. 8:41 AM
Well i found a way so you only need 1 string it took a long time to get the right size string because the length has to be perfect but i am not giving away the secret how i did it yet. But i will soon i think
hellpilot says: Jan 26, 2009. 6:21 PM
A ruler? sizeing it up and keep trying thats my bet
ThomasRex (author) says: Jan 26, 2009. 6:34 PM
yea but you have to tie the knot and if you leave to much at the end its to tight it takes alot of time.

erikos kostarikos says: Jan 28, 2009. 8:07 AM
why it would be useful to turn the front barrel?
ThomasRex (author) says: Jan 28, 2009. 9:33 AM
Because in a knex war you can turn the front barred around a door corner and still shoot so in a knex gun war you are safe behind a door and still be able to shoot them
spudling9 says: Jan 27, 2009. 6:53 PM
thats like that gun on the movie WANTED
Bitterberry9 says: Jan 22, 2009. 10:54 AM
cool gun, but it looks like it cant turn 180 degrees, more like 90 degrees (than again, why would you want to turn it 180 degrees? To shoot yourself?) Really cool gun though

looks pretty fragile. how does the trigger work? do you have a rope or something attached to the other half of the gun?
ThomasRex (author) says: Jan 21, 2009. 3:34 PM
I took the rope off of it and the gun is 5 knex pieces thick its sturdy.
FrozenFire 99 says: Jan 22, 2009. 2:01 AM
no i dont mean the gun itself, i mean the hinges. they seem to break pretty quickly.
ThomasRex (author) says: Jan 22, 2009. 12:14 PM
no they are sturdy but you have to hold the front handle if you only hold the back handle it will break in like 5 minits its sturdy.
Loosewire; SOE Operative says: Jan 21, 2009. 11:26 AM
I thought that this was a side-break-action at first. It looks quite good. Here is a little challenge for someone, try to make a removable, effective bullet deflector for short bullet guns, i.e green, white and blue rods and grey connectors.
ThomasRex (author) says: Jan 21, 2009. 12:15 PM
