This outfit was knit for a doll our grand daughter from Arizona loves to play with. Her mother played with this doll when she was a little girl. Of course new clothes are a lot of fun for Bridget and Nana loves to make them. This skirt and sweater set is made of Lion Brand (Vanna's Choice) yarn and the pattern was re-sized from an old Barbie doll pattern book.

Answer to how I make the boots....... I use a basic pattern and then either add or subtract stitches to get the size I need. Cast on (S-16 sts (M-18 sts) L-20 sts Knit 1 row, Purl 1 row, Knit 1 row (change yarn color) So shape instep: 1ST ROW: (wrong side facing)(S-P7) (M-P8)(L-P9) Inc. 1 st purl-ways in each of next 2 sts (center sts of row:. Work 2 rows even, then dec 1 st each end of needle on next 3 rows (M-4 rows)(L-5 rows) Sew seam. If I want tall boots I just add more rows before I start the instep...
