Introduction: Know the Public IP From Your Home

Often we need to access our computers or devices house when we're not in it, and since most of us have dynamic IP from our ISP, we will make a small device that will send us notifications to our Android phone in a simple way, so that we always will have the ip that has our router and the possibility of access to our home from any internet-connected device.

With this system we will have our public notification system ip without having to resort to complicated setup records.

Things we need.

Step 1: Assembly

The assembly of the shield with Arduino is very simple, we must link the two parts, as shown in the images.
Once assembled, we loaded the scket, we can download it here.

We programmed the module Arduino and that's it.

With a network cable Arduino connect to our router.

Step 2: Omniblug Home IP

The next step we must do is download the APP Omniblug Home IP of Google Play Store.
Download.

The first step we must do is open the application to set the IP and port of arduino in the adjustments of the application (must match those that we have in the program scket arduino, see you image).

It is important to remember that we must be connected to the local wifi with our mobile to program the module. After setting the ip and port, we go to the Module option and click on the send button configuration.

We waited a few seconds until appear the message that we all went well displayed.

You will shortly receive notification in our mobile with the Public IP from router.

So there you go, we have our public notification system ip configured and ready to go.

Arduino checks the public IP that your router has been changed and if the previous ip we had sent us a notification to our mobile.
