Introduction: Kohl Rabi Curry
-Kohl rabi is most commonly called as German kohl .
-It is even used in eastern parts of india like west bengal and also in bangladesh where it is called as `olkopi´ and also in north india(kashmir) popularly called as Nol kohl.
-It is also called as summer secret wonder vegetable rich in vitamin c and potassium.
-This delicious veg dry recipe can be served with rice or chapathi.
-one small kohlrabi peeled and sliced
-Few curry leaves
-one garlic clove
-Half tsp cumin,mustard seeds
-Half tsp split black gram
-Half tsp coriander powder
-Tsp red chilli powder
-salt as per taste
-pinch of turmeric powder
-3 tbsp dry dessicated coconut
-Any cooking oil
Step 1: Tempering
-Take little oil in vessel and heat it. when is heated add half tsp cumin,mustard seeds and when they crackle add half tsp split black gram and few curry leaves.
Step 2: Keep All Ingredients Ready
-Peel the outer fibrous layer of kohl rabi and chop into small cubes.Even dice tomatoes.
Step 3: Add Kohlrabi Slices
-Next add chopped garlic, kohlrabi slices and saute for some time.
Step 4: Add Tomatoes
-Add diced tomato and mix with kohlrabi slices.cover the lid and cook for few minutes
Step 5: Add Dessicated Coconut
-Add pinch of turmeric, 2 to 3 tbsp dry dessicated coconut and mix.
Step 6: Add Spices
-Add half tsp coriander powder,half tsp red chilli powder and salt as per taste. Mix all the spices with kohlrabi slices,cover the lid and cook for few minutes by sauteing in intervals
Step 7: Serve With Rice
-Serve the curry with hot rice.
