This is artwork that I made with my mother as a demonstration of the versatility of LED art. I wrote a document outlining the theory underlying light-based art, how to find good pigments for use with LED lights, as well as an in depth explanation of the design considerations in making extremely high power LED light fixtures.
These LED light fixtures have UV LEDs, as well as true cyan (with the easy possibility of adding true amber or red-orange as well).

I finally got around to setting up a company to sell lighting of this nature. You can check out my new instructable on how to build them, or purchase whole fixtures at http://saikoled.com
The new ones only have RG+rB, but they still look quite good for most applications. I'd be happy to put them on a 12" instead of 6" flex arm to make it so that they can easily point back towards the wall they are mounted on if you send an email to our support email address.
