Now, work on the back side of the ring. Draw your circuit as neatly as possible.
You should plan:
- where you want your LEDs to be (8 per letter),
- where you want your resistors to be,
- where you want your spare LEDs to be (more about that below)

Placed all your LEDs in serie in each letter and then all the letters in parallel. That way, you can, at some point, light all the LEDs separately, for example with an Arduino.
Also, as there are 8 LEDs per letter, some letters (like the i), don't need that many. It means you need to put them on the back side of the display. Otherwise, they're all going to have a different brightness.

We chose to have all the + at the top of the letters and the - at the bottom.
