I have a macbook and I was wondering Why everywhere I went the 15 inch cases are cheaper than the 13 inch cases & when I finally find a decent 13 inch case it has to cost $100 come with a wireless mouse and say Asus, HP or Dell. I have a shiny white macbook and therefore I want a case that does not cost more than it would cost to replace my battery and that does not say Dell, HP or Asus.

I learned from my son-in-law that there is such a thing as non conductive foam. I ordered some from an electronics site to use for padding in a laptop case. I'll also use wool and leather. The foam was not cheap, but should provide a better quality case.

great stuff however, i would think a protective case should be ruggged and weatherproof, so some of these are made of poor materials, but designs are still good D

Yay for custom laptop cases! I have a MSI Wind - a 10" screen, so most stuff for laptops is sized towards full-size laptops.

the only problem with standard 15 inch laptop bags is... my laptop's screen is 16.4 inches not even including the border. and its hard to find 17 inch laptop bags in stores... its not so hard to find online... but shipping costs are insane.

I'm planning on buying a laptop but I read it was oddly shaped and doesn't fit most standard 15" bags so I might end up making myself one; plus it will be much cheaper.
