Introduction: Layered Jello Shots - Caribbean Gold

Looking to make your party even more fun-tastic?? Of course! That's why you are here!! Jello shots are so simple and yet somewhat complex depending on the direction you are going with them. Today's featured Jello Shot is a special concoction of tropical goodness that's sure to help every party goer have a better time than expected =) We're going to call this one.....Caribbean Gold.

Step 1: What You Will Need

(Makes 22 Jello Shots)

1 3oz Package of Island Pineapple Jello
1 3oz Package of Black Cherry Jello (not pictured in image 1)
Measuring cup
Small condiment cups w/lids (found at party store for $5.99/250)
1 Bottle of Coconut Rum (any brand will work)
1 Bottle of Black Cherry Rum (any brand will work)
1 Pan to sit cups in so that you can more easily transfer shots to the fridge (as if I needed to explain that??)

Step 2: How to Make

1st of all all you really need to do is follow the instructions on the Jello package, yet altering it just a little...or a lot =)

Take 1/2 cup of water and bring to boil
Pour 1 cup of coconut rum into another pourable container like a 2nd measuring cup.
Also Pour 1/2 cup of Black Cherry Rum into the container with the coconut rum.

Once the 1/2 cup of water is boiling, turn flame off and pour in Island Pineapple Jello Packet and stir for a minute.
Then pour the hot mixture into the container with the 2 rum mixtures.

Take the rum and jello mixture and pour till 1/2 of the condiment cup is full. Fill all cups 1/2 way and set in fridge for 30 minutes till set.
(Some cups I poured more/less just to play around with how much flavor I liked better in each)

Step 3: After 30 Minutes

After 30 minutes the 1/2 filled jello shots should be ready! Wait!! DO NOT EAT YET =)

Now we need to do the exact same thing with the Black Cherry Jello. (or almost the same)

Take 1/2 cup of water and bring to boil
Pour 1/2 cup of coconut rum into another pourable container like a 2nd measuring cup.
Also Pour 1 cup of Black Cherry Rum into the container with the coconut rum.

Once the 1/2 cup of water is boiling, turn flame off and pour in Black Cherry Jello Packet and stir for a minute.
Then pour the hot mixture into the container with the 2 rum mixtures.

Take the rum and jello mixture and pour the other 1/2, till the cup is full. Let mixture sit in fridge 4 hours.
(notice I poured a few with just the pineapple and a few with just the black cherry, again...I'm experimenting)

Step 4: Final Outcome

4 hours later the jello is fully set and you are now ready for a party! Enjoy! These things have the MOST AMAZING flavor!
