Introduction: Lazy Stuffed Peppers
This is a recipe that I found long ago and modified for the better (So I'm told). I hope you enjoy.
Here is a list of what you need:
- 2 T/29.5 ml olive oil
- 1 lb/454 g ground beef
- 3 peppers
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 medium onion
- 18.25 oz/540 ml diced or stewed tomato
- 14.5 oz/428 ml chicken or beef broth
- 22 oz/650 ml tomato sauce
- 2 t/10 ml chicken or beef bouillon
-2 t/10 ml Worcestershire sauce
- 1 t/5 ml Italian seasoning or Oregano
- 1 C uncooked rice
- shredded cheese
Step 1: Brown the Beef
Add the oil and beef to a pot large enough to accommodate all the ingredients and brown the beef (5-7 minutes) over medium heat.
Add the peppers, garlic and onions, peppers and onions should be no more than 1"x1" and the garlic should be finely chopped. You can chop thing smaller if you want them to soften faster.
Heat until the peppers are soft.
Step 2: Everything Else... Almost.
Add the remainder of the ingredients, save the rice and cheese.
Bring the pot to a boil.
Add the rice and once the pot is again boiling, simmer for 25 minutes or until the rice is cooked.
Step 3: Serve and Eat
Remove from the heat and stir lightly.
Serve and top with cheese and any other condiments you enjoy.
