Hey Folks,

Here is a quick an simple way to recycle old crayons (or use new ones) to make really cool lego crayons.

A friend recently made some of these as a present, and being an avid lego fan (and father to a growing fan) I had to try these out. You will find tons of tutorials on the web on how to make these, and to be honest you could make crayons from any tyme of silicon mold you have.

I bought my mold on ebay for about £4, but if you are super adventurous, here are some Instructables by other members on how to make silicon molds.

Step 1: What Will You Need?

A Mini figure silicon mold (found mine on ebay)
New or used crayons (Wax)
Knife or scissors
Oven

That's it....

Step 2: A "little" Help

Find someone with little fingers to help peel of any paper on your crayons.

Step 3: Sorting

Sort your crayons by color if you want to make "one color" crayons, or mix them up. If needed, cut the crayons into small pieces.

Step 4: Fill 'em Up

Fill the molds with small pieces of crayon. After a couple minutes in the oven I pulled them out to add more pieces of crayons to the ones that needed it.

Step 5: "I'm Melting...."

Place the mold on a baking tray and place into a pre heated oven. I heated my oven to 220 C. It took about 5 minutes to completely melt the crayons.

Step 6: Chill Out

Once fully melted, take out of the oven and let them sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes. Then place in the fridge or freezer till hard.

Step 7: Time to Play

Once cool, stretch the mold to help separate the figures from the mold. Pop them out and enjoy.

My son loves the multi colored ones the best. These are super easy to make and look Awesome!!!!I hope you have enjoyed this Instructable, and hope yours turn out just as cool as these.
