It is an abbreviation of "leg godt", which means "play well"
Coincidentally, "Lego" is also a Latin verb which means, "I assemble".

Though it wasn't what I was thinking of. Actually in danish (and I'm danish) "dutch" is called "hollandsk" so it doesn't even start with a "d".
