Introduction: Let's Save the Automotive Industry With a Hybrid Thermoelectric Car That Uses Ultracapacitors Instead of Batteries


After the Volkswagen scandal has lowered the trust people have in the automotive industry, I think it's time to introduce the TEG technology to cars.

this concept will work as a four-wheel drive range extended vehicle: the cooling system will be oversized, so it will both cool down the engine and the generators; usually you'll need a bulky and heavy battery pack, in this contraption instead I think an ultracapacitors bank it's more suitable, since it can charge and discharge way faster.

The weight added by the TEG generator/s and the oversized radiators will be compensated by a smaller engine and a smaller accumulator.

I haven't added a fotovoltaic panel since I think it's not necessary.

I know that electric cars are the future but right now they cost too much and they use batteries, so the charging process isn't as fast as filling a gas tank

What do you mean exactly by "TEG
generators"? I looked at Chinese site and what they have there has nothing to do with cars! They are for homes or camps, using heat and producing power. But you can't mount a stove in the car and use wood or gas to produce heat :) However, I asked if they have something for applying to hybrid cars but they don't. There are others that already made a special battery for this puropose. I am in contact with them but am afraid that the cost will be huge... we'll see.
