Introduction: Lighter USB Flash Drive/ Keyboard

Youve seen usb flash drive hacks before, this is just my attempt at putting a flash drive in a lighter!

^ which as you can see, epically failed. so i continued and made it with keyboard keys instead!


Step 1: Materials and Tools

Materials and tools needed:

-Lighter (i used one of the mini bics- BAD IDEA!)
-USB Flash drive (i used a 2gigabyte "sandisk cruzer")
-Soldering iron
-needlenose pliers
-metal files
-silicone adhesive
-small utility saw

and anything else necessary to open the case and modify :)

Step 2: Crack It Open...

time to get dirty and crack it open! remember.. dont worry about breaking the case, unless you want to use it later. im saving mine for an LED flashlight! remember to try to avoid hittting or breaking the fragile chip inside... this breaks EASILY!!!

Step 3: Cut the End Off the Lighter

MAKE SURE THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO FUEL LEFT!!!!!!

Step 4: Clear Out the Inside

ues the soldering iron and files to cut out the center separator in the fuel tank.
and the back of the cap to create room for the usb plug

Step 5: And Now, for Something Completely Different!

flash drive was ressurected about a month after i first published, this time with keyboard keys!
