I made this Arduino-brained linefollower robot for a contest where it did not do very well, ran out from track. But it was the cheapest robot there and I learned so much building it, so I have some thoughts and Arduino code to share regardless of the race failure - it's here: http://www.instructables.com/id/Linefollower-robot-from-Arduino-and-junk-thought/

Here are pictures of the build. See image notes for further details. I first posted this photoseries while I had not written the code yet and tests later brought many changes, now I just inserted some final version images, so don't be suprised that it looks different on random pics.

It's ugly, temporary and all expensive parts are reusable for future projects. My personal goal was not to win a contest but make a robot with minimum shopping possible - that I did good enough.

It is a bit rough but there are some nice ideas used. I like your motor and wheel approach with the foam and heattube. Thanks. Nice job. A clip would be nice.
