My wife doesn't like getting chapped lips.

Who does, really?

The only problem is that she tends to lose her favorite brand of balm. We must have spent $100 so far, and she has yet to finish a single tube.

In an effort to help, I attached it to her keys. Now she has it when she needs it.

Step 1: What You Will Need:

Heavy duty thread
Needle-nose pliers
Lip balm with a screw- on cap

modification for lip balm in twist-cylinder:
to top of balm lid superglue a large "pony bead" plastic bead
thread bead onto keyring

i just throw my chapstick in my altoids tin wallet. reduces the rattle of pennies too. good idea though for someone always losing their balm.
as for the purse you could hang the balm from the handle
Great idea. Would the instructions be the same for the cylinder kind of lip balm, with the twisty disk at the bottom?
What a fabulous idea! I am always losing my lipbalm, I must give this a go.
Very clever. Just yesterday I was wondering what happened to all my lip balm. It's the kind that wouldn't work with your instructable but I'm almost motivated now to only buy balm with a lid that would work (b/c I'm too lazy to come up with my own solution for those traditional chapstick type sticks) :)
Clever idea, I carry some balm in my purse, but I am forever rummaging around trying to find it, now you know it's with your keys!
