Lovely Baby Booties

These booties are knitted top down. They make a great gift to the mother of any newborn.

Needed material: about 1 skein (50 gr.) of yarn, a set of 5 double pointed needles (size suitable for the chosen yarn) and a tapestry needle.

The following abbreviations are used in this pattern. Good luck with knitting your new monstrous friend and enjoy his company.

Sts - Stitches;
BO - Bind off;
Dpn - Double pointed needles;
RS - Right side;
CO - Cast on;
WS - Wrong side;
Sl - Slip;
P - Purl;
K2tog - Knit 2 stitches together;
K - Knit;
Inc - Increase;
YO - Slip yarn over/around needle.

Step 1 The cuff of the booty

CO 32 sts and knit a cuff that is 7 cm. long; Row 1 - K; Row 2 - *K2tog, YO*; Row 3 and 4 - K.
