Luminaria de Coco / Coconut Desk Lamp

Primeiramente vem a matéria prima para o projeto: o côco! Eu o abri com uma serra e lixei sua superfície até ficar bem liso ao toque.

First comes the raw material for the project: the coconut! I opened it with a saw and sanded the surface until it is smooth to the touch.

Step 1: Colocacao da haste / Placing the rod

Eu consegui encontrar uma luminária barata (R$10,00) e a comprei para reutilização da haste, anteriormente havia pensado em utilizar um bambu para isto - tendo a vantagem de ser ôco por dentro e permitir a passagem dos fios.

I found a cheap lamp ($ 10.00) and bought it for reuse. Had previously thought to use it for a bamboo - taking the advantage of being hollow inside and allow the passage of wires.

uma ideia, seria legal passar um verniz geral, ficará mais bonito e mais brilhoso, na minha caixinha eu utilizei um verniz em spray, verniz geral... :D

muito legal cara, tive essa ideia hoje e fui pesquisar se alguém já fez... muito bem feito a sua luminaria, recentemente eu fiz uma caixinha de som usando coco... acho que vou fazer um desses :P

This is Ultra-Impressive! I think it would get more view if you had the finished product picture very first...then we could see it on the thumbnail. Very, very cool! We love repurposing coconuts!
