Step 6: Samosa Patio ( for the People of Pakistan or Idea to Know How Can U Make a Samosa Patio Without Gluten)

Recipe Lumpia Wrappers ( samosa patio I used)

3 large eggs
3/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 cups water

Separate yolks from whites. Beat egg whites until frothy. Add yolks and beat just to blend. Dilute cornstarch with water and add to eggs. Mix well. Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes to settle bubbles. Brush hot Tefal, coated, or crepe pan with oil. Place over low medium heat. Give egg mixture a quick stir, pour 2 Tbsp. of egg mixture in pan and quickly tip it from side to side to spread batter into a thin 7 to 8 inches pan cake. Cook until pancake can be lifted off easily from the pan (about 1 minute).

Hi. This sounds delicious, but soy sauce is not gluten free. I know you only use a little, but you might want to make a note of this for people who are really sensitive.

author

They do make gluten soy sauce.

author

thank you .... let me check the gluten free versions of soya

Oh I love them, far better than the Chinese spring rolls!!!! Would you have the meat filling? Our friend used shrimps and pork, I believe... but I don't have a recipe.

I love Indian food and this sounds absolutely delicious -- but it's not even remotely gluten-free. As far as I'm aware, samosa pati are made of maida, a finely-milled and sieved wheat flour. Also, your sauce ingredients include soy sauce, which is commonly made with wheat. If this is to be truly a gluten-free recipe, you shouldn't use any gluten-containing ingredients, or at the VERY least, should carefully explain what substitutions must be made and/or what ingredients to watch out for.

I am sorry , at first it was NOT Indian food. Secondly I make those wrappers (my own version of Samoa Patti) with a recipe . It asks for corn starch and well corn starch is indeed gluten free.

author

I apologize -- I was thinking of the samosas when I had said Indian food! Thank you for editing the instructable. I look forward to trying out your pati recipe!

'smiles' apology accepted :) do try it :)

You have stated that you used 'Wrappers or lumpy Wrappers ( i used samosa pati)' but as far as I know, samosa pati is made out of refined wheat flour which is not gluten free.
