This is a project I found and adapted from a craft website.  The original project called for the use of pipe clamps, but I decided to use what I had.  Wire, nails, and mason jars.

Step 1: Step 1: Gather needed materials

For this project I used a hammer, wire cutters, needle-nose pliers, a picture hanging kit that had nails and wire in it, and a piece of scrap wood that I found in Home Depot.  Instead of the wire and nails, you could use metal pipe clamps and screws by drilling a hole through the pipe clamp and simply screwing it into the wood.  The pipe clamps are adjustable so that they fit snugly around the mason jars.

I love this! I am moving to a townhouse w/ really strict rules on decor/putting any sort of things on walls....what are some suggestions as to what I could use to not cause any sort of damage to a wall?

I use 3M picture hanging strips for everything. They are the kind that are velcro-y. My headboard has been hanging with them for years.

Great idea! Looks really handy. Since you are reusing things, you should consider entering this into Scoochmaroo's Weekly Challenge Reuse.
