On this Instructable i am going to show you how to make M&M cookie bars. It is fairly simple you just need to pay attention.

Step 1: Materials

You are going to need
- 1 cup of brown sugar, firmly packed
- Whisker/ Eggbeater
- 2 sticks of butter
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla
- 2 1/4 cups flour
-1 teaspoon of salt
-1 1/2 cups of M&M's
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 2 mixing bowls
- Baking Pan

Step 2: Preparing

Take your 2 sticks of butter and let them sit unwrapped in your mixing bowl until they get to room temperature. You can also tell when the butter starts to become soft. This will take some time. Alright after you get that done preheat your oven to 350.

Step 3:

After that is all done you can start making your delicious snack. Take your 1 cup of brown sugar and add it to your bowl with the butter. Then take your 1/2 cup of granulated sugar and add it to the same mixing bowl. Now mix all that with your eggbeater or whisk. Next, you are going to add your two eggs. Crack one egg at a time and mix that one in, then do your next one. Now add your two teaspoons of vanilla to the same bowl, and mix that in.

Step 4:

Now in your other mixing bowl add your 2 1/4 cups of flour, your 1 teaspoon of salt, and your 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Mix all that together, now you are going to gradually add that bowl to the other bowl. You do that by adding 1/3 of it at a time that doesn't have to be exact but you cant add it all at once. After you are done with mixing in the flour bowl to the brown sugar bowl you should have just one bowl now and you are going to add the 3/4 of M&M to it and mix that

Step 5:

Now take your bowl and spread it into the baking pan, make sure everything is flat. You can use a spatula to smooth things out. Take the other 3/4 of M&M's and add sprinkle the M&M's on top. Put your pan into your already preheated oven and bake it at 350 for 26 minutes take it out and enjoy. Please vote for my instructable in the contest.
