Step 1: Set up your canvas

Right under the time line you will see something that says 12 fps (default) just double click it and it will bring up a properties box. change that 12 to a 24 click ok and your ready.

Step 2: Setting up your timeline

Ok to the left of your time line is a box with your layers, all you need to do is make a new layer and rename it line 1. then rename the first one ground. lock the ground layer. under your time line to the left there are 5 little boxes, one will say onion skinning click that one not onion skinning out line.

Step 3: Almost ready

on your first frame right click on grounds first frame, where you drew your ground in the time line and hit copy frame. go to frame 500 or so on you time line, all depends on the intended lenth of your video and create a key frame(shortcut f7) on the ground layer, then right click and hit paste frames.

Step 5: Lets draw

ok now make sure you zoomed in to 100% and draw you first like half on the canvas and half off (not pictured) to make it look like your line is flying in from the side. after the line is drawn hit f7 and start the next line halfway on top of the next one and keep going on and on and on as u can see onion skin lets u see the past few steps but it wont show up in your video.

Step 6: Finished few now time to show it off

I love flash..... but I like doing more complicated things. Here is something I did.....
That was terrible.
WOW. i could never dream of creating that kind of stuff. I love the '!?' part. don't ever remember that...long time ago. but thanks...and now that I look back I laugh at how dumb it looks compared to what I do
then you must be pretty good.
lol...yeah...I'm more into visual effects and 3D

This is kinda useless... you should degrade flash like that... here's a game i made.
wow good job (by my standards) I envy your skills.
is there any actionscript in that. or is it just attributes.
Theres only a little.

when i saw this i'ble i thought i was up for a more 'How to make professionalcontent and games' rather than stuff that you can do on Powerpoint. anyway, your methods are quite slow so you must have put a lot of time into that.

The video wont even load :( what the? Is it similar to the line effect I used in my reel? ?
It loads fine. It must be your computer/internet connection

Why not convert your line to a symbol, create a motion guide, then a motion tween. This is a big waste of flash's potental, considering you can do this with any any animated GIF program.
Because then you can only move the line and not do stuff like make it split in two and such. It limits it potential.
Not really. Splitting in two wouldn't be as simple, but easier than your method. Just add another layer and add another.
You wouldn't get the FBF style; the line changes shape and length slightly at different frames... You use motion tweens when you want the style to be smooth and clean.
Still, you could make the item to have 3 frames, and use the wiggle tool to produce a slightly different line each time. 3 different ones should be enough.

It may help if the pictures weren't an inch thick.
They were normal before, weird.
