Introduction: Made It at TechShop (PGH) - Upcycled Ikea Clock

Picture of Made It at TechShop (PGH) - Upcycled Ikea Clock

I found a $.99 clock at Ikea called the Vakis. It's a nice little clock with a simple face, very plain looking. I thought it would be great to add a wooden veneer to it to class it up a little. I made this at TechShop PGH on a Trotec Speedy 300 Laser with Corel Draw.

Thanks! I just attached the face with the Gel Control Super Glue. Just enough so that the glue didn't seep through to the face of the veneer.

Cool; I love the look of wood, very rustic and classic! How did you attach the wood?
