Step 2: Sewing the Glove

Now once you've traced your hand sew along the lines, Then see if your glove fits, you may have to make a few adjustments see the pictures for more.

This site gives many nice things to try... I just want to sew a glove to use after parking in and the steering wheel is too hot to touch. It is very interesting to know what I could make to pass the time.. Thanks for creating "Instructables"!

thanks so much man . you helped me so much .

Just stumbled on this site. Haven't look too deep into it though. http://www.glove.org/default.php It has some patterns intended for leather, but may not be the style your looking for.

Thank you so much. That´s just what I need rigth now!!

This looks really good. I'm modifying a Captain America costume and I will definitely use this for the gloves. Thanks, man!

This totally saved my project! I tried to make some gloves from an actual glove pattern, it went horribly wrong. Thank you so much for this instructable!

You could make 4 gloves (2 for each hand) but keep one pair just cut (not turned inside out). Then pull the other pair (turned inside out like done in the instructable) on over the other ones and attach them to each other. This way, there wouldnt be a seam on the inside.

Great instructable btw

Thank you I may do that to make them more comfortable.

Something beautiful, and I benefited from this work
Thanks and forward
What sort of thread did you use? Just normal thread or anything with a little stretch to it? :-D Can I use cotton thread?
very nice :) very professional looking gloves too :) would you recommend any changes for making these out of non-stretchy material?
You have to draft fourchettes and a thumb piece for anything other than spandex. I've used this pattern before for fabric gloves: http://www.glove.org/modern.php
just make them looser

Very cool idea!! This is a great idea for formal ladies gloves that you would wear with a gown or costume, just make them longer.

I've always found that style to be quite sexy.
do you know how to make leather ones?? i tried this kind of design and it is completely uncomfortable thanks for the tutorial by the way
HEY! Don't I know you?! :D
thanks a lot
A last question, should I buy a 4 way or 2 way stretch direction ? I dont really know the difference so I need your help again ... and then I'll can make my gloves
I would buy a 4 way stretch
What the difference between it ? And why does the 2 way is more expensive ?
And what's better, Cotton or Nylon ? I know I've got a lot of questions about it, but it will be my first gloves
the 2 way stretch only stretches two ways, so the 4 way will be stretchier, also i would go with the nylon because its stretchier and thats what we want
Ok, so thank you for all
I've just seen the price With the exportation in France, and it's too expensive for me, at this price, I prefer buy gloves at market ... Sad World ...
Try secondhand clothing shop/ thrift shop. Find something that is the correct fabric and cheap and use that (may be a stetchy womans skirt for example).
Nice, I've been wondering about a good way to make gloves.
This would be great for ppl with missing fingers!!!
I have to try this, I have webbed hands, as in extra webbing between my fingers and missing knuckles on some fingers making some of the longer fingers on a standard hand shorter, Etc... I had a set of goatskin gloves custom made for $500 at one point, and ever since have modified my own, I love this idea

Thank you
I'm french, and I want to know how can I purchase some "Spandex" can anyone help me ?
well i dont know if they have under armor in france, if they do thats the same stuff otherwise you can get it here: http://spandexworld.com/ there's alot of different choices and colors!
Thanks you a lot, but now there's too much choice for me =P
I think Spandex is a US trade name, the same fabric is called Lycra in Europe.
This is great, especially for anyone with non standard hands. I need compression gloves, but those I've bought have been baggy. Thanks! Now I can make my own.
That's awesome! It's so simple but works so well, I love it! 5/5.

I would like to make a leather pair but don't really know how, sadly...
Oh sweet, thanks.
Same process just bigger and looser.
pretty awesome
Personally tailored gloves? Fits... fits like a glove!
seems like this type of fabric could get kind of unsettlingly annoying when it rubs up against itself or your short fingernails, i don't know about other people but i hate that kind of waxy feeling..*shudders*
doesn't bother me
strange, i wonder if im thinking of a different kind of fabric.
I really hate it when you touch a piece of nilon clothing with dirty hads. *shudders even more*
cool now I can make a morphsuit : www.morphsuits.com/ :P
How warm are these?
pretty warm, i dont really know how to answer the question but but they wouldnt be to warm WAY below freezing. hope that helps!
I guess peoples ways of gauging cold can be different :P
Yeah. I'll just make a pair and see!
Sweet. Would it be possible to sew or glue on some grip?
Puff paint to the rescue!
