Super Easy! How to make your own Lemony Sugar Hand Scrub
A FiberArtsy Tutorial

I don’t know about you guys, but between wet felting and taking care of alpacas and chickens, my hands take a beating in the winter! Dry, cracked skin is not fun so I thought I’d share my favorite hand scrub recipe.

Step 1: Ingredients

White sugar
Olive Oil

Lemon Juice

Lemon Extract or Essential Oil

You also need a medium sized bowl, measuring cup and spoons, sealable container and mixing spoons. This recipe will fill a pint sized Mason jar.

Step 2: Mix It Up

In a bowl, mix together 2 1/2 cups of white sugar, 2/3 cup olive oil, 2
Tablespoons lemon juice and 1 Tablespoon or lemon extract or essential oil. If the scrub is too dry for you, go ahead and add a bit more oil.

Step 3: Finish

Spoon the hand scrub into a Mason jar or other sealable container.
These scrubs make wonderful gifts! Make a bunch and give it away to your friends! Anybody that works outside will appreciate a good hand scrub and love you forever.

Next week, I will share my favorite Brown Sugar, Vanilla Body Scrub recipe so keep an eye on FiberArtsy for that tutorial.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Thank u for this recipe! This is so close to a sample I received at a spa and always wanted to replicate! The lemon juice is a great skin brightener and olive oil moisturizers alllllll day. I did not have lemon oil but had grapefruit and orange which mixed together and was just as good. Love this!

Thank you so much. I love this recipe too. Orange oil makes it smell amazing!

I made some and love it!

Thanks for sharing.

This is great! I made one for me and one for my mom. I did add more lemon juice, just for the scent. And vanilla, just because I love vanilla. It smells amazing and makes your skin feel great. Thanks for this recipe!
