If you make videos for YouTube, you may want to have a YouTube sign in your office or studio. Here I'll show you how to make a YouTube sign of your very own. And please have a look at my YouTube channel while you're at it. It's fairly new, but I've got some great stuff coming up!

Step 1: Tools & Materials

Tools

Saw. In the video we use a band saw and a scroll saw, but you can actually do this with nothing more than a coping saw.
Sander or sandpaper
Printer

Materials

¼" plywood
Paint. Red, White and Black
Spray-on glue

Step 2: Make Your Sign

This is a simple project. Save this YouTube image to your computer and open it using Microsoft Paint. Print the image. On the page setup, indicate whatever size you think is best for your sign. Mine was scaled to 1 by 2 pages. Sorry Mac people, I'm not the greatest with image handling on the Mac. I even own one. I need to take a class or something.

From there, glue it to your wood, cut it out, paint it and glue it together. I didn't even glue mine. I just stuck it together while the paint was wet. The video shows just what to do.

Since making this sign, I discovered spiral cut scroll saw blades. So cool! They cut in all directions so you don't have to constantly turn the work-piece.
