Make a Bag Out of a Long-sleeved Kids T-shirt

If you have kids you know the problem: they grow out of all their clothes before you know it. So here something you can do with a T-shirt that's just to nice to just throw away..

Step 1: Choose Your T-shirt

First you need a kids T-shirt, not to small! It has to be big enough to make a bag out of it!

Step 2: Step 1

First turn the T-shirt inside out and pin the bottom of the T-shirt together. Now you have to sew the parts together.

Step 3: Step 2

Turn the T-shirt with the right side up and pin the top of the shirt a inch down. Begin sewing 6 inches from the middle of the T-shirt.

Step 4: Step 3

Now you fold the T-shirt like in the picture and pin the arms. Sew the lines, but only on the top of the T-shirt.

Step 5: Step 4

Now you have to sew a line just above the sewing line on the top of the T-shirt.

Step 6: Step 5

Put one of the sleeves a little bit in the other one. Pin and sew.

Step 7: Step 6

Now you have to decide where you want your buttons to go.

Put pins in the place where your buttons should be and use a rayon to draw a line with te size of the button.

Step 8: Step 7

Use a zig-zag stitch to make two buttonholes on the place where your crayon is. Use a scissor to cut out the button holes.

Step 9: Step 8

Pin the sides of the sleeves like you can see on the picture and sew.

Step 10: Step 9

Now sew the buttons on and your bag is READY! You can put something in the bag trough the top op the T-shirt.
